It has been 4 days of painting, cleaning, moving furniture, and painting some more. I am currently covered in paint splatters and dirt - not my favorite things - but the store is looking so beautiful! I can't wait to finish up and have the celebration party with everyone. I've attached some pictures so you can see some of what we all have been working on:
We were at Alameda last Sunday and it was quite the adventure. Pam and I went down the night before and spent the night at the house of some wonderful friends. You would all agree that they are absolutely wonderful when I tell you how they made lasagna, salad, and bread that was ready for us when we got there at 7:30 at night. Then at 3:45 the next morning Karen was up and had made us coffee and sent us out the door with good wishes.
Karryann & Matt drove down down at 2:30 am and met us at Alameda. The four of us were at Alameda and set up within 1 hour in the cold and mist. We had fliers and signs to hand out for the grand re-opening, and Karryann had made this great larger sign and decorated our tent so our booth looked like a mini Not Too Shabby Store. We sold a lot of chairs, chalkboards, mirrors, chandeliers, an urn, my favorite stool, and other wonderful things.
We also got to see other wonderful stores like Tattered House (Roseville) and Bungalow (Fair Oaks). Their booths were so beautiful and filled with amazing things.
